Tiny leather sliced spot

Wife took some friends out in her 2018 X5, 5.0i, Merino leather. One of the ones that sat in the back must have had some sharp metal on the bottom of her purse, because now we have two tiny little slice spots in the leather seat where she sat, near the front edge. They are about an inch long, but fortunately, they didn't go all the way through.

The colored leather is cut, but the under layer is not. What ever BMW backed the leather with held up but I doubt it will last with usage, will ultimately pull apart.

Dealer said they had no suggestion short of replacing the rear seat. I was going to take it to a local upholstery shop and see if they had any suggestion but wanted to see if anyone on the forum had been successful in having small leather slices like this repaired vs the entire seat covering replaced?

Thanks in advance for your help and ideas.

Use a bead of thin super glue as you press it together.
