You are saying that your car is almost unusable? You need to find someone with ISTA+ and an ICOM and diagnose you vehicle. You may have to reflash your ECU's with ISTA.

I mean the power steering is off as most of the electronic assistance and I got many related errors when launching the car.

How can I reflash my ECU's, any tutorial.
I already have a ENET would that help?

thx in advance

It doesn't sound like you need a re-flash (you need to explain the exact issue that you are having next time, not just my car is unusable).

You need ISTA and an ICOM interface and you need to run your EPS adaptations (this happened to me before to). So you can either download and install ISTA and purchase an ICOM from eBay, find someone who has one, or go to the dealer.

Read this about ISTA:

ok thx a lot, but as we are almost in total quarantine in here (only grossery stores are allowed to open) it will be hard or impossible to get a ICOM. Can i use a ENET cable instead?

Are you saying that the car won't connect to the app? Are you saying you can't restore from a saved data set?

No. With an ENET you will be able to the EPS adaptation on the menu but it will be grayed out. The EPS adaptation is pretty cool. You are guided through a wizard where it will ask you to open the front windows and jack the front of the car up and it will automatically turn the steering wheel from endpoint to endpoint relearning all positions.

Honestly I am questioning whether this was caused by bimmercode caused this but I am not saying that it didn't either.

And I know how you feel, I freaked out a little the first time I lost my adaptations because you get that nasty "Chassis Stabilization , drive moderately" error message on the iDrive.

restore fails before to complete
and this specific "Chassis" section in the app appears with a red spot instead of a green one like all others

I've done lots of coding with BimmerCode and never single problem, not even engine light

Did you try to restore from the App?

Whoa your speedometer is not working? What the hell happened? Was there an interruption during the coding?

Yes, it sounds like you need a reflash my friend. stop wasting time on this board just go to the dealer pay the $400 or $500 and get you car reflashed...you are way past your own copy of ISTA at this point. And if I were you I would stay away from coding as it seems that you have no idea what you are doing.

Probably because either you car or your phone didn't have enough power to finish the operation. Stay away from coding, go to the dealer and get reflashed.

Did you have an alternate power source hooked up to the car (like using a trickle or battery charger hooked up to the jump start terminals in the engine bay)? Or did you have the engine running while coding?

If you were only using the car's battery...and it wasn't hooked up to a source to keep it powered...the problem isn't the software...you allowed the car's battery to go into a discharged state while trying to code the modules.

I'm getting the distinct feeling that this is some kid who jacked up dad's X5 and he is looking for a quick fix.

Dude it's a kid, nobody who owns $200K worth of BMW's (as he has listed) would waste a minute on this board for a "coding error", they would just take it back to the dealer and say "Fix this shit".

I'm betting that you have a 17 year old with too much time on his hands jacked up daddy's ride. And no the grocery stores are not the only thing open in Switzerland, but the schools are closed.

Before any coding changes were made to the ICM...and whatever happened (discharged battery causing coding issue? )...Bimmercode would have made a backup. Shouldn't he be able to click on the backup/restore function in Bimmercode to rewrite the ICM as it was prior to the mysterious catastophy?

Can't remember if the OP mentioned if it was IOS or Android...so here's the info from the BimmerCode app on how to restore from backup:
