F20 paddle shifters retrofit
Hi Guys!
So lost here, hope someone can help me! I always dreamt about having paddle shifters for my BMW ![]() The steps I did: - bought the paddle shifters and wiring. - installed the paddles on my steering wheel. - installed the software with BimmerCode (turn on retrofit paddle shifting) But they were not working afterwards. I have checked if the wiring is there, from the PCB cable 5 to cable 3 at the steering wheel and yes, my BMW already does have the wiring for the paddle shifters. Then I turned to someone how could get deeper in the software then BimmerCode. He came upon to fall codes: EGS - electronic transmission control CF3251 Signal (operation of shift paddle, 0x207) invalid, transmitter GWS + FEM_BODY Front Electronic Module 804480 Shift paddles: Short circuit to B+ I really don't know what to do know, but of course I still want them to work. Does anybody know how to proceed? Thanks ![]() |

Hi there!
Have you tried removing those fault codes and starting the car again? I have no expertise in paddle shifters but maybe you haven't thought of this. I hope you'll fix it soon! |

Did anyone find a solution? I've wired using the same scheme as the F30 (position five on FEM and position three on steering wheel column), and I've killed my steering wheel column in the process. Is there a different wiring scheme for the F20? My car is a 118D
