Well it still looks shit from the outside...
I'm amazed people are saying it's growing on them, seriously?!? Go look at a proper tasty BMW and then take another look at this, it's pretty clear it's the ugly sister. The interior looks good though, maybe the LCI version will be better..when's that due out |

I cannot believe how narrow minded some people seem to be. This car looks great! On top of that it actually manages to have its own identity among millions of cars that all look the same.
I did a quick PS of what it would look like with a drop, 19” ZCP Wheels, and Black Kidney’s: How can you still say it doesn’t look better than the current 1 series?

more than ever it seems the blacked out kidney will be the key.
can't wait for the online configurator though, play with the max spec and see how it looks.

Looks better than the base models having the crease extending into the void under the inside of the headlight. I guess that they haven't added pics of the rear while they scratch their heads and try to figure out how to fix it.

I don't know why they insist there wouldn't be a market here for it. They want to bring the FWD stuff here but not this? I think they are more concerned about the relative perception of this RWD hatch compared the FWD hatches they want to bring. I'd get my 128i, M-Sport, fully loaded, silver. |

The m-sport looks like the non-mpsort version having gone to the gym, lost a lil weight and pumped up a bit in the right places. This is great. Can't wait for the F22 which is going to be epic with those lines.

Are you people insane? You get to dislike it less just because of the M package? Are you forgetting that you are paying $4000 extra for that? Is this what we came to? Paying extra in order to dislike it less?

Seems like a lot of effort to make an ugly car bearable to look at. And the current 1 series is not exactly a great benchmark is it... |

So when everyone hates the product (which is not even released yet) BMW decides to put out M-sport pictures (in like 1-2 days?) so they can turn some people around.
And.. I think it's working for some of them Not me though. Last edited by 3M TAPE; 06-06-2011 at 03:15 PM.. |

I feel as though they focused so much attention to detail on the interior that they didnt have enough time to design a proper exterior. + 1 million points on the interior. - 990 000 points on the exterior.

Actually M-Sport Packet was actually in the launch materials to begin with, just like the BMW X3 and the forthcoming BMW 3er Sedan.
There is , although a disclaimer that the M-Sport Packet will not be available until March 2012 is posted in print. Just as the BMW X3 M-Sport did not come online until earlier this year and the 3er M-Sport will arrive on the market in September 2012. The 3dr Sporthatch and M-Sport Packet arrive around the same time. An example of the M-Sport will be @ the IAA but will be unavailable to the public , similar to the X3 M-Sport in Paris 2010. The full range of 1er will be on show @ the IAA in September.

The new M-sport wheels for this car are terrible... I can only imagine how much of a hassle it will be to clean the brake dust out
