Oh hi y'all, I've been wondering where everyone went.
So, I'm looking at the brand new posts and thinking that it's all pretty shallow. Looking at valuations, legacy car manufacturers, tax breaks. Watch the drone videos Tesla fanboys are making of the construction in Shanghai, Berlin and Austin. Look at the facilities a month ago, then a week later, then a week later etc. This is not normal. Yeah, panel gaps. Whatever. |

Ya, I'm not so sure. New cars markets needs a used car market and hybrid vehicles are already becoming too complex for the shade tree mechanic. Never mind that automakers (cough, cough Tesla, BMW) are fighting over the "right to repair". As a result I fully expect an acceleration towards disposal of subscription BEV just because the second/third owner can't repair them.

Now if you are anal retentive I'm sure you will notice some of the body panel gaps are larger than they should, some are not 100% even, but nothing any normal person would notice. Plus Tesla has been doing this for what... like 12 years? How long have the other manufacturers been at this... a century? Now if you want to talk about Tesla service or their buying experience or their software policies.... then I'm all in favor of calling them out on that! |
