San Diego coding available
I can code the FXX series and have worked on 11, 12, and 13 models. Please PM with any questions. I'm happy to teach or to code...whatever you prefer.

I'm new to the forum and need to get my first post out of the way in order to PM. I recently picked up a 2011 528i for a good deal which was within my budget, but it has halogen headlights. I want to look at coding DRLs using the angel eyes and possibly making the AEs brighter (if possible via coding). I'm pretty "tech-y" and would enjoy getting into learning how to code.

There are several threads about coding and the primary site now seems to be http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=175
You will be amazed at how much we can change in our cars' interface and operation! The site shown above has "how-to" and "cheat sheets" to help you with some background information. I'm happy to help to get you started in whatever you want to try. If you want to buy a set of equipment and software to do your own coding, PM April1 (when you have PM permissions) for instructions on how to complete that transaction. You and I can follow up by PM, again, when you are able, to set a date and time to meet. |

Thanks for the info. I have been reading up (there is a ton of information). I am interested in getting the necessary equipment and software. I'll reach out once I get my PM power.
