Limp mode after Service?
Hey guys,
I just got my car back from BMW (what the hell is with the "no loaner" policy"? What a joke) after having the EGR replaced under warranty. I pulled it out of the driveway and boom, right into limp mode....i turn around, drive it back and the service mgr takes it for a drive...it doesnt error on him... So I take it, now its 6 pm and no chance of getting codes read... I drive about 3 miles....limp mode.... Anyone experience this? Any ideas why it would be doing that? |

Did you not get a loaner from the dealer you purchased the BMW from?
When you say limp mode - are you referring to the reduced power symbol? Did it still drive the same even thought the indicator light was on?

"limp" mode is when the engine pic comes up in the display on the dash in orange. You will also notice that you can floor the accelerator pedal all the way and the car will not move nearly as fast as it normally does. A.K.A. " limp" mode. Hope this helps.
