Short Video Walkaround of F20 vs. E87 1-series (M-Sport)
BIMMERPOST NEWS Short Video Walkaround of F20 vs. E87 1-series (M-Sport) Here is the first video of the F20 1-series 5-door hatchback. It's a short one, but it's the first live motion clip of the next generation BMW 1-series, and first live comparison to its predecessor, the E87 hatchback. As you watch the video, keep in mind however that the E87 is an M-sport model, so the comparison isn't exactly apples-to-apples so to speak. This particular red F20 is the "Sport Line" model. Compared to the E87, the body is 85 millimeters (3.35 inches) longer, wheelbase 30 millimeters (1.18 inches) longer, front track 51 millimeters (2 inches) wider, and rear track 72 millimeters (2.83 inches) wider. You can find all F20 released info and media at the F20 Official Thread: http://f20.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=539990 |

E87= way more aggressive, way more sporty, and right size.

That video definitely helped me make sense of the front end. Now I wish it was coming state-side!

No 6 cylinder engines. That probably means none when the 2 series coupes show up later.

I remember all the negative comments about the current gen.
" pot bellied" " too tall green house" "Wide eyed". I bet this one grows on people just like the last. |
