335d sprint boosted

I've had a sprint booster on my 335d for about a year now and I love it and love the car. It seems to work just as advertised. My wife doesn't drive the car that often, but when she does she almost makes me hurt my neck as she isn't used to the surge in power delivery. She drives a 535i normally (non sprint boosted). Any thoughts on if the sprint booster actually works on the 335d for those who have taken the plunge to get one?

All it does is modulate throttle response and makes it more sensitive. If you're pressing 25% it'll tell the car you're at 50% throttle. If you're taking the chance to void your warranty you might as well get some extra power as well. This gives you 0 extra power.

Yup, makes you quicker but does not add more hp/tq. Good for road play but has no real benefit for track. Easy to install/uninstall(behind gas peddle) so take it out before services and you should be good. I have read some really like it but some report after a while the "twitchiness" becomes somewhat cumbersome. I think it comes w/ a 30 day return but I could be mistaken.

Waste of money IMO.. why pay for a device that tricks the car into thinking you're pressing the accelerator pedal down further than you actually are? Its like setting your bathroom scale to start at -50lbs because you want to lose weight.

Is that completely legal? For instance, would it pass its MOT with it on?

Just add a little lead to your shoe and you can get the same effect.
