Hi All,

My head unit has gone into the all to familiar resetting/booting repeat sequence and after a visit to the dealership and a failed software update/reset, they told me I required a new head unit quoting some ludicrous price. I searched online I found a usable HU that fits my car but assume I cant just plug it in and be done with it. I would be grateful for any steps or solutions in putting and coding the new HU. I am in the UK if that helps.

You need to write the VIN in the headunit and code the HU. After coding patch the HU to write FSC.

I have the same issue, is there any guide out there how you write the VIN and patch it? I assume you do this in esys? I have the old and the new Head unit. Both are without navi.

1) Connect to esys
2) Open FSC extended, connect to 0x63 and press identify
3) Add the WriteDataByIdentifierVIN job to the list. It will ask you to enter a vin enter your cars Vin.
3) Press start, to update the VIN on the NBT to your cars

For patch you have to buy them. Or buy OEM FSC.

I am going to try this tonight... been stuck on this for days... if it works, i will happily have your babies!! <3
