2018 X1 xDrive brake and rotor job at 2k miles?

I leased a 2018 X1 xDrive 2 months ago and it was making a clicking noise at low speed and the brakes were vibrating. I brought it in for service and the resurfaced the rotors and replaced the brake pads for free. Does this seem correct? Did I just get some weird manufacturers defect? The car only has 2k miles and only 900 when I bought it.

Hmm...900 miles. Sounds like someone had a few joyrides on a track before sold it to you? This is of course not normal, but glad they fixed it for you under warranty.
