Left headlight/taillight running lights were on after car was turned off for hours. Reasoning would be?
Only thing found is possible the turn signal was left on when car was turned off?

It is called parking light/park light function. If you turn indicator and hold for 2 seconds then it enables these lights (lights remain on for one side of car) when car is parked in poor visibility location. It is fully explained in the manual.
