Android App no longer works

I have a Samsung S6 still in good shape and the BMW app called BMW Remote. It's a black background with BMW written in white letters with a line under the letters in BMW orange. This app ceased to function properly about 2 weeks ago. It started having issues connecting with the car so I thought of uninstalling and cleaning the software. It no longer accepts my username and password after the reinstall. Yet I just installed the IOS BMW app with the same credentials on my wife's new Xr and that app works...and has more functionality than the one on my phone when it did work. I received an e-mail from support saying that they've been experiencing problems with the app and should have it sorted out soon. No ETA was provided. Anyone else see this problem?

Hello Xorbitman,

The "My BMW Remote" android app in Play Store in Canada does not work properly.

I downloaded and installed (side-load) the BMW USA apk according to JohnnyCanuck's instructions:

It works well!

Only iOS is supported. No Android love for the foreseeable future.

Try the link in my post above ... it works well on my android smartphone (Moto Z).

I still have the Canadian app installed and it still shows the info as of March 25!
