Lube Sunroof Rails
There's a lot of construction work going on near my home and that results in a lot of dust collected on the car daily. Due to which the sunroof shakes while operating. What lubricant would you recommend? Can I use WD-40? And spray it where the sunroof rail wheels come in contact???

I wouldn't use WD-40, its not really a proper lubricant, it works very well for penetrating seized metals, but that's about it.
I would clean it first and apply a grease like TF2 or similar, did this on our mini and it opens smoothly every time. |

BMW have a specific sunroof lubricant.
Wherever you may be based, it's probably best to visit your BMW dealer service/parts department to be certain you are using the correct product, especially if your car still within warranty. Certainly agree with Mushy007's comments re WD-40 as it isn't generally suitable for rubber/plastic components. |
