I would like to know if a JCW or aftermarket cat back exhaust from a MINI F60 Countryman or F54 Clubman S would bolt right on to the F48 and F39.

I'm interested in more aftermarket exhaust options as well.
Has anyone bought or looked into these? http://www.incarstyle.com/x1.html?&L=1 |

Given that the Mini Cooper JCW has the same engine (and tune!) as the X1 (B48A20O0), I think it'll sound a lot like this if you just unbolt the muffler (go to 5:15):
(Sorry for Vehicle Virgins LOL) |

Still wondering if the MINI F54 Clubman S and F60 Countryman S exhaust will bolt right onto the F48? They look the same in the two photos.

Hmmm this looks promising! Maybe with minor modifications it would work...

I got in touch with Michael over at Remus. He replied rather quickly. Heres his reply...
"Hey Adrian, Since it is model specific I cannot conform fitment on the X1. It appears that it will but looks like the bracket locations would need to be moved. it would not be a direct bolt on and you would need to do some fabrication to make it fit I would assume. Anything is possible but just depend on what you are willing to do to make it happen. I have one of those in stock if you wanted to try it. Let me know what you think and we can go from there. Talk to you soon. " Question now is do I take the plunge and spend the money and just move a couple exhaust hangers around to make it work. |

I also reached out to Megan Racing for their axle back exhaust. Here is their reply...
".they might look similar but these exhaust are built specific for each application vehicle. can you please get some measurements on your vehicle and we can see if it might be compatible with a little bit of magic. https://meganracing.com/mr-abe-mcc11-srt.html https://meganracing.com/mr-abe-mcc11-vo.html 1) distance between the 2 tips center (inner side) 2) distance between the 2 tips center (outter side)" Going to go measure this now. |

Edit - The muffler might fit but if its a cat back the mid pipe would be to short for the F48. The R60 is alot smaller. Last edited by mikeyb74; 01-10-2019 at 08:42 AM.. |

bumping this thread to see any updates.
I was looking into a muffler delete, but I may not pass inspection in Massachusetts. Any suggestions for an aftermarket muffler that will increase the sound? I'm currently running an ER high flow catted DP and have the right exhaust flap set to always be open. |

I am planning on opening up my stock muffler and doing a exhaust dump within the muffler unit. This should be done in next few months. |
