Bonnet release lever.

Now that my car is built and on it's way my manuals have appeared in MyBMW.

I noticed in one picture that the release lever is on the drivers/right hand side side. Can another UK owner confirm this please.

This might sound like an insignificant thing, but the last 3 cars and my current car have all had the lever on the passenger side. This has meant I have been unable to open the bonnet on my own due to my disability, I sometimes have to ask strangers to help, just so I can fill the washer bottle.

Yes, it is down & to the right....with the newer BMW,s they have implemented a double-pull system (you effectively have to pull the lever twice to release the bonnet catch).

Thanks SDB.

It might sound stupid, but this feature really is the "icing on the cake", so many other makers just think about the cost and shove it on the left as LHD is their biggest market.

Doesn't sound stupid at all...anything that makes the driving & ownership experience better is a plus in my book.

Saintsman, can you elaborate on what MyBMW is and how to log in? I've got my order number and VIN number via Genius Chat. Is it to do with the ConnectedDrive app??

It's on the top left hand corner of the BMW home page, or if you wait a second or two when you go to the home page there's a box that says MyBMW Login, you can register from there. The manuals won't be there until they finish your build, or at least mine weren't.
