9 Weeks Later And It's Landed! Germany - California

Once I ordered the X1, I was so excited, that following its progress was a daily ritual.

And she's finally here!

If anyone is interested on it's trip here's the detailed timeline...

Ordered through dealership - 3/27/16
Production - 4/4/16
End Production - 4/8/16
Transport to dock - 4/13/16
Received at dock & loaded (BREMERHAVEN) - 4/16/16
Zeebrugge, Belgium - 4/18/16
Southhampton, UK - 4/19/16
Baltimore, MD USA - 4/26/16
Manzanillo, Panama - 5/4/16
US Arrival (Port Hueneme, CA) - 5/13/16
Discharged from Aida (Wallenius Wilhelmsen) - 5/14/16
Delivered to port (Discharged) - 5/14/16
Customs Release - 5/17/16
Liner Release (United Road) - 5/17/16
Delivered to Fremont, CA - 5/18/16

To track, I was given a production number that I could enter into my personal MY BMW account. From here the site kept me updated through the production process. Since it was slightly delayed, I ended up calling BMW USA's automated tracking at 800.831.1117 (option 2 >2).

Once production ended, I was able to call BMW and find out the VIN. With the VIN, you can then track the progress on Wallenius Wilhelmsen (https://www.2wglobal.com/). Then the real waiting begins!

Since the car was already marked as sold it breezed through customs and VDC. I was then able to see when the car was delivered though United Road's site (https://www.unitedroad.com/delivery-receipts/). You can even see who signed for it!

And today I got the call that she's ready. Unfortunately, I'm on my way to Vegas tomorrow, so she's going to wait till I get back on Sunday.

Although I have a Mineral White xLine I think this is the best colour for the M-Sport - congrats
