UK Build Status Updates

This maybe be old news to some, but I only found out this today, and I've finally got the build date.

If you want to get an update on your Build, contact the BMW Genius via the Chat option in the Build your BMW section of the BMW UK website.

Give them your Order Number and they'll provide the current status code, plus the VIN if available. All this means I've been able to confirm the Build spec, as I changed it couple of times. Now I don't have to bug the SA or keep wondering if the build date has come forward.

Thanks for this. Very very useful for us in the UK who cannot track online. Tried it earlier and they're very helpful!

every time I've tried to get on the live chat to check this it is freezed over but gives me the option for a call back or email. Anyone else had this issue?

I find that the 'Live Chat' button is greyed out but have found that it you click on it, it still takes you through to a chat. This is from my experience via my iPad.

Thats great mate! But if your is complete then you are likely to get yours before Week 24 i believe !!

Just found out mines at status 9000 now departed plant. Wonder how long it'll take from now?

Should take about 1-2 weeks to get to your dealer - the dealer will need 1-2 days to prep your car i believe ! Good luck and enjoy the last few days of the wait!

So the mini-bus is now at sea, and I've also got a Dealer Delivery date for the first time.
I can only assume its going to Immingham, but it could also be heading to Southampton, not that it really matters.

Time to stop stalking the thing now.

The major reasons why I've been tracking it is because there was an issue around the availability / allocation of Pro Nav screens in May ( or was this a switch to the build of the iDrive 5.0 units? who knows? ) and wanted to know without hassling my SA every day, I've had 2 SAs since ordering.

I'm hoping the dates are as per the dealers estimate, I was told first week of July.
I suppose I'm just panicking a bit as we have a trip to Holland early July, followed by a drive to Slovenia at the end of July and the ferry/tunnel like to have registration numbers.

Sorry I'm not on these forums enough but mine too was built in May. Is there a new iDrive?
