I ordered my X1 last month. I can hardly wait, but I have to be patient since the estimated delivery date is December.

uhm.. 8 months?

Should be 6-8 weeks, mine is supposed to take 6 weeks from order to delivery, my patience is being seriously tested :-)

Mine was meant to take 5 months but it should now arrive in the next 10 days, so it's 'only' taken 3 months

As far as I've heard, every dealer / country gets a limited number of production slots per timeframe, depending on the size of the market. As soon as all slots are filled for a given timeframe, a new order moves on to the next.

Somehow, BMW must have underestimated the high demand for this model in Belgium. So, slots are filling rapidly, resulting in these long waiting times.

Of course I hope it does arrive sooner than that

I have just placed the order today as well
My dealer told me I am very lucky because for the engine I am ordering (25d) there are two slots with a delivery in mid of June, otherwise it would be in October.....:/

Btw: I am ordered 25d mineral white, M sport pack, and basically fully loaded plus set of winter rims+tires

I had a call from the dealer today saying mine is in production in week 23, so that's around 2 weeks time I only ordered it last Thursday. I have been told that it then takes another 4 weeks until actual delivery so I should get it end of June so that's around 7-8 weeks from order.

Hi Saintsman, sounds like your dealer is well organised. I put my order in on 21st April then made an amendment on 26th April. Was told that production is due week 23 then 25. I've just gone onto the BMW Genius Chat on the website and provided my order number only to find that my production week is now week 28?! And estimated arrival to pick up week 31?! Quite disappointed and have screenshot my chat and sent to my dealer to review.

What are you ordering DJ? Mine's the 2.0i Sport maybe I've been lucky to catch the right car at the right time, although from previous experience I know builds can slip and it could still be a long wait.
My dealer does seem very well organised, I'm getting mine through the Motability scheme, normally I've had to wait for paperwork to come through before ordering but after my day out in the car last week I had a call from the dealer the next day. He had contacted Motability directly and they were allowing me to order straight away with everything done online.

My order is nothing too complicated: 20d XLine Manual with Panoramic sunroof, EDC, Nav Plus, Electric folding wing mirrors, reversing camera and sun protection glass.

Will await what the dealer says.
