I didn't order front PDC because the rest of that package would have been wasted on me, so I'm a bit timorous with front-end parking since even with the highest seat position I can't see where the front of the car is. In fact it is 18 inches beyond what I can see. However, I have noticed that the apparent distance of the projected HUD image almost exactly coincides with the actual front end of the car, so I use that as a gauge. To try this out safely (without crunching into a wall) get someone to move slowly towards the front edge of your stationary X1 until they're standing right up against it.
