First oyster
Hi all,
Another question from a potential buyer - I love the oyster interior but I've always been scared about jeans (I wear a lot of them) rubbing off into the seats Is that an issue? I've seen some horror pics online but never BMW seats Anyone have this issue? I wear white leather trainers and the blue often dyes the tops of those where it brushes against them Thanks again

I've had oyster for about 5 months and no problem so far. Every now and then I just use a little autoglym leather cleaner on a microfibre to clean any slight dirt on the thigh support. I wouldn't recommend oyster, if you are transporting kids though!
I think the trick is not letting dirt build up and getting ingrained into the leather. We get a lot of nice comments about the interior esp as it contrasts with the black exterior and fineline wood. With the pano roof it also makes it feel light and spacious. |

Also Oyster seat owner here. Yes, you will inevitably see some marks after a while. But it can easily be cleaned with leather wipes. I do mine every 2~3 weeks. Just did it a few days ago, so I'm afraid I can't post any photos. It also depends on the jeans. I mostly wear stone washed. It might be more extreme with navy blue/black jeans.
I would presume it's the same story with beige leather. What exterior colour are you going for? Oyster looks awesome with Platinum Silver (mine) and Sparkling Storm. I have zero regrets with my colour combo. |

BTW I wear black jeans which are quite old so perhaps a lot of the dye has already come out of them by now !
The other bonus for me with oyster is that plastic panels are black so no scuff marks when getting bike/ rubbish in and out of car.... otherwise I would have probably gone for beige which is very nice. |
