Any mate install F80 lower control arm on a 116/118i?
I read BP thread and it's seem like it can be fix on the f20 rwd m135i which has a different control arm part number than a regular 116/118i.
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=31_0942 The USA boys had the lower control arm fixed on a F22 228i and it shared the same part number as the 116/118i. So can I assume it can be fix on a regular f20 116/118I? http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=31_1098 Last but not least, how much -ve camber increase we will get from the lower control arm. Any help would be grateful! ![]() |

Lower control arms add about an extra 1deg of negative camber to front wheels.
Compared to 116/118, Mx35i comes -0.5 swivel bearing housing as std which could be an upgrade to your car if you want to add less negative camber. My car (m135i with lowered springs and M4 LCAs) is running -2deg which is about the most I would run on a road car. Finally if running running 17" wheels or less, be careful to ensure that LCA upgrade will clear the inside edge of the wheel. No issues with 18" and above alloys.

Thanks BP, when I check my pivot/swivel bearing housing, seems like there's 2 options available as well.
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=31_0954 I vividly remember on my stock car alignment, i got 0.5 degree -ve camber, does that mean I will get 1.5 degree -ve camber on it with LCA? I don't mind running -1.5degree but -2 is way too aggressive for a road car. Lol |

They fit without any problem. I have them on my pre-LCI 118i with lowered springs. Like BeePee, I have -2deg up front and I've never experienced any problems about it being too aggressive for road. FYI, they also give a remarkable amount of caster angle

I have the same setup as yours for winter and 40 offset wheels with same tyre size for summer and no rubbing with both. I don't think you will rub with that setup and suspension unless you go too low with coilovers or something

Ive been running -2deg and it's helping to save soft outer shoulder of mpss as getting even tyre wear across width of the tyre so combo of the geometry and mpss works fine for m135i

I got the lower arm fixed and zero out the toes. Car felt twitchy but turn in and corners is a breeze. What's the toe you guys are running?

I can't remember the toe but will get an alignment soon with the coilovers. I will share the numbers after.

Had an alignment today. Zero toe like yours with -1.85 camber and 7.45 caster angle.
