Ordered! Wanting to track progress

Ordered a few weeks ago now - 25i in Black (metallic) with M sport and pano roof, noticed that some people were posting confirmation details and tracking a VIN number. Is this something that the dealer will send me once they have it, or do I need to hassle them for it. I'm assuming early to mid June delivery, but for those who have just received their, how accurate was your dealer and how long did it take....? I just have to work out a way of not obsessing over it - I've been driving Peugeots for 20 years and finally taken the plunge to get the BMW (which I have been wanting for the last 20 years!!).

In Australia, we can only track the shipping, not the production. Your dealer should have a VIN number a week or so after the car has finished manufacture. Then you can check it against the VIN decoder (bmwbin.com) to check if it has all the options you selected. You can then track shipping progress following the instructions in this post:

great thanks... will get onto the dealer. They were good, but I don't think he knew the car very well...
