Poll: Filter politics from "New Posts" feed?

I guess I'm strange, but I cannot figure out for the life of me why I am reading about politics and smelly toilets on a board called m3 post. Even more odd, it almost seems there are more posts about said politics and smelly toilets than posts about the actual vehicles this forum is for.

This poll is to vote whether we want some button to filter out the unrelated posting boards such as politics from the new posts feed.

Why does it bug you?

You can simply go to the section of your choice and avoid those parts of the forum.

You can create your custom filter and bookmark it

Here's mine, it excludes all the Off-Topic threads except for Gaming:

Quote:
http://www.m3post.com/forums/search.php?do=getnew&exclude=4,8,56,62,86,306,353, 467
NB For some reason there is a space in front of "467" and I cannot seem to remove it in the post. The URL should have no spaces

Because you don't go to the section of your choice, you go to the "sections" of your choice. Hitting the new posts button is much easier than hitting a half dozen or more other links and popping them all open. It's not a huge deal of course but if there was an option to streamline it, it'd be silly not to use it.

This is what I did. I asked a few weeks ago if there was a way to do something similar to omitting specific areas (like all of OT) and this suggestion was made. Works great!

FYI if you want to exclude multiple sections, just run a comma between the #'s (don't use spaces, bunch them up together, i.e. exclude=56,44,89,324). If you hover over the sections from the main page, you'll see the #'s for each. Grab a paper and pencil if you think you might write down a lot of them.

I've been using the exclude link on my PC for a while (since summer of 2016?). Don't notice all the other crap except when using the app on my phone.

Agreed ^^^ 100% - I hate politics..I come here to talk about my 1 series BMW and everything related...there is enough of the brainwashing every day on TV.
I used the filter !! YAY...no more extremist political viewpoints from idiots in my viewing future!
