125d sportauto 45km commute, avg 85 kph, summer 5,3 l/100k, winter 6,0 l/100k.
If you push it you can travel the same distance on just 4,3 l/100k and still averaging 85 kph but that requires open roads and loads of patience

All figures according to the computer so I'd figure they are a little higher in reality.

My F20 is using a lot less oil than my previous E87 120d, anyone else experiencing the same?

Hi,

My F21 2014 is doing 8 kms/lt in average on Mexico´s city horrible traffic. I´m a little disappointed because I thought that I would have like 11 or 12 in the city.

My 120d with automatic does 0.57. That is included heavy traffic and spirited driving.

Hi, F20 125i, manual, M-Performance power kit, 5200km on clock, 7.9l/100km. 80% highway 130-150km/h with quite a lot of accelerations, 20% city driving.

116i. I get 7.2 l/100Km in Comfort mode in mixed city/motorway, not pushing on the accelerator too hard and with Auto Start Stop disabled. I am going to try 98 octanes next and see how many more Kms I can squeeze out.

I've done 24,500km from April last year... mainly city driving 9.5 L/100km.

F20 116i running 98 octane with 34000km on the clock, I get 7.1/100KM in city urban/highway traffic.

The F20s are surprisingly efficient and yet punchy.

My 116i manual fuel consumption

Hello All

My car is 116i manual.

The total average i see is 13.8 km/L.

The "eco pro" is doing well and save a lot of fuel but, you also need discipline

Recently, I drove to Eilat for the weekend. It is ~500Km per direction. It is a mix of highway ("Eco pro") and desert open roads ("sport") and a bit ("comport") in Eilat.

The overall consuption was 16.0 Km/L which is amazing for this car and the drive fun and quality that i had.

Love my Bimer

Have you tried driving the same road with Eco Pro and Comfort, with the same driving style? In our 116i, the consumption seems to be the same, so I don't quite see the point of the Eco Pro mode.

It's the same from my observations. I assume that the point of Eco Pro is to minimize accelerations. Moreover, accelerating very carefully (mimicking Eco Pro) I'm able to get the same consumption i Sport. All we get by switching between Sport*/Comfort/Eco Pro is how the car translates gas pedal thrust. At least I think so.

*Oh yes, Sport gives also better steering, but it has nothing to do with fuel consumption, has it?

Anything that uses power within the car can impact the fuel consumption so some degree which is why EP mode reduces power to heating, A/C etc and yes the steering assistance level.

I think Eco Pro would be better termed "Minimum Emissions" rather than suggesting maximum economy as by driving carefully you can get similar mpg gains.

you are right. you can achieve very good fuel consumption by discipline.
Yesterday, I drove ~130Km very easy on the gas ... accelerating very slowly ... I was in Normal mode but without any AC ...

Here is the results ... Amazing ...
