Taycan Cross Turismo review (pro pics)

Hi guys

Recently had the chance to review the Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo with AMMO NYC. It was amazing, and does many things better than even my G80.

Great write-up. They are stunning cars (especially as Larry's with the lowering links, spacers, and 21" wheels).

I put my name down on an allocation waitlist this week for the 4CT. I'm concerned about a perceived lack of power coming from an X3M, but your points around the entire package quell that anxiety a bit.

If it makes you feel any better, I don't think you'll notice it. The X3 might be more explosive in acceleration, but the Taycan is so smooth that it feels effortless.

Saw it at the last LA Auto Show and it was one of my favorite vehicles there, yet I hardly see them on the road. I only see the non-turismo version. I love the Sport Turismo of the Panamera as well.

Probably because getting CT/ST allocations is still difficult with most dealers wanting ADM on ordered cars, and the orders are taking forever to be built.

The Taycan GTS ST is awesome. One day...

Are the Turismo versions harder to get allocations for over the non-Turismo versions? Didn't know that if so. I would still hold out for a Turismo if I was in the market for one.

I'm not sure. At this point, everything is a wait. But I know Larry did have to wait longer because it was a wagon in his particular case. His dealer had Taycan allocations ready, but not Cross Turismo ones.

Nice I watch Larry pretty often, the only thing I wish they would change is the fender cladding to paint.

I believe it's an option to do so, but it's a trend I don't like either. Why my G80 has black trim along the bottom, I'll never know.

The Taycan is an incredible machine, especially if you are into EV's. I almost pulled the trigger for a DD (amazing employee lease was offered at one point) but decided that for now, I'm not identifying as an "EV owner."

Additionally, Porsche has lightened production on Taycan. They will be very difficult to get for at least another 6-8 months while waiting on supply chains to catch up.

Lastly, all Taycan allocations when initially assigned to the dealer from PAG can be either Sedan or Cross Turismo except for the GTS model. Once committed to either, there's no going back. The Taycan GTS build slots from PAG are specifically a Sport Truismo or a Sedan and not switchable

it won't be long before "another" company copies this and builds their version which i can afford

but please engineer enough space for 5 ...
