It is conventionally pretty—but really quite characterless and predictable. Will serve the elite peeps well as a brunch commuter LOL

It's bigger than the R231 in every dimension, never mind the R230. Love the R232 but I'd take the outgoing GTC roadster over it given the SLS connection (long hood) and Aventador-rivaling width.

Only problem is the GT rides a lot rougher, the SL is a lot more daily-able than a GT.

Your assumptions are way off.

It is much bigger than a SLK, 20+ inches longer. R230 SL is about 7 inches shorter. This is the largest SL produced

True, but that's not an issue for folks that just want a cool weekend car.

But that's not what the SL has really ever been. It's a daily and not really sporty.

Nice looking car, but not exactly worlds better than the look it replaced. Lazy design IMO

Are people seriously saying anything less than spectacular in response to its appearance? Either we have some hardcore bias here and people are refusing to admit beauty when it smacks them in the face, or people are generally blind.

This car is freaking gorgeous.

Agreed, this is a huge upgrade over the previous ungainly R231 and has finally reverted the SL's image of an old man's cruiser into a much more modern and sporty gran tourer.

They're finally arriving at dealers in very small numbers, cannot wait to see one of these beauties in person!

Front looks like a rounder softer Mustang Mach1. Headlights, grille, air ducts... all of it.

Need to see it in person, the back looks awkward in pics. The front is good, but can we just skip to the Panamericana grill?

It’s a gorgeous cabriolet for sure. A huge step up from R231.

SL should be about understated/sophisticated beauty. They had strayed from that bit in the past. This SL looks fantastic.

I was a bit surprised the guy in the video complained about the harsh suspension. Not sure if this is SL 63 specific or what.
