B48 engine tuning
Hi guys!
I have an F20 Lci, 125i, 224hp. I was scrolling Realoem on the internals of the engine and saw that's basically the same as G20 330i that has 258hp output. In your opinion, which is the best option for a easy tuning? (anything from a catless downpipe to a tuning box or a remap) Which is the safest tuning option or what type of tuning do you prefer and what hp output would be reasonable for the stock car? By easy tuning I'm talking about adding ~30hp, not 70hp like most of remap shops do. In my opinion it's a little bit too much stress on the engine. ![]() Looking forward to your answer. ![]() |

Did you ever end up getting it tuned? I went to a local shop & they tuned it for me - from around 165KW to 185KW, not sure if I want to go much further haha.

I just ordered JB4 piggyback and catless downpipe for my 125i. This should result to ~50hp gain with ability to switch over different tune maps via phone app.
Further mods affecting performance is intake upgrade (benefits also sounds under load), charge pipes and catback (mainly for sound ![]() |
