It is an unforgettable experience to see it in person. Should you ever be in Germany or one of the neighbouring European countries, a trip to München is highly recommended to see the BMW Factory, Die Welt and the BMW Museum.

as an engineer i was always facinated by assembly lines... its such an art.. i love watching it..
on a fully note, i was watching the assy process on the x3 on discovery the other day and my Fiance' happen to be sitting next to me... she asked a very good question..... Where are the "bloopers" .. she said it has to happen.... nothing can be so perfect.... imagine one of those robots jamming a quarter panel on a car that is out of position or something... there has to be a video clip of that somewhere.. LOL

Nice. Thanks for sharing that with us. I was reminded of 1990 when I went to visit both Munich (then where they M's were made) and Ravensburg. I recall how clean and pristine it was was in the assembly plants. The next day we went to Stuttgart to visit the Porche assembly plant...boy o boy was that different, with men and machines everywhere. totally different, yet both producing outstanding vehicles!
