Woww,,,what da hel??!

It definitely did not come out like what i expected at the first place.

IDK,,it is not THAT UGLY too me,,,but I really feel like something is wrong about the exterior,,it is not suppose to be,,,whatt?,,,CUTE? It looks kindda cute to me,,but I feel like it is not what it should have look like.

Hope that the M-sport Pack will do all the work for me!

Let me guess... they test-marketed this new Pokemon 1-series in China to rave reviews, right?

I agree, the interior is decent, the outside is arguable for us Americans, but for Europeans, again, is fine.
These models are RWD.

HOLY SHIT!!! WTF were they thinking? Lol the only thing they got right was the interior. Wow this thing makes the new 6 series look fucking good.

I just received a Bimmerpost bulletin via email announcing this release. This doesn't look like a hoax.

does anyone have photoshop skills and clean up those photos? Email them back to bmw please.

i guess this happens every time there is a re-model. happened when e39 turned into the e60, happened when e30 turned into e36 to e46 to e90. It will grow on you, give it some time.

This is worse than the 5 series GT and the X6, you would think BMW would have learned what their customer base wants and does not want by now?

Another total failure...

New models always grow on you, but I seriously dont see how this will be more appealing than the current 1 series.

I never liked the e82 headlights until the facelift now with the 1M, but these new ones are bigger and more bulbous looking. They look like they belong on a much bigger vehicle. BARF

I'm not usually one to make bold decrees of success or failure based on a car's styling alone, but I sincerely worry that the exterior design of this car is going to badly hurt 1 Series sales. It looks so awkward in the front and rear that I can't imagine people overlooking the design no matter how nice the interior is and how well it drives. This is one of the only BMWs that I would truly call ugly, but that's how I feel about it.

I always wonder how a nearly objectively poor car design can make it all the way to production without someone saying something about it before it's too late. Remember the early 1990s Buick Skylark with the arrowhead-shaped front bumper spear -- how could no one jump up and scream "it's ugly and completely unsafe?" I know people don't want to make waves at risk to their own personal standing or job stability, but sometimes you have to speak up at any cost.

Someone needs to fall on their sword for this. I predict an early mid-cycle refresh like Acura had to do with the garish TL.
