Hi All,

I heard a rumor saying that 120d (N47T) is electronically limited to a top speed of 235 km/h (~145 mph).

Can anyone (120d's owners) confirm this?

I'm not sure but from my experience of top-speed runs it feels like it's limited at 230km/h. But limited or not, at that speed there is not many more km/h's to be found.

The acceleration from say 220kmh to 230kmh is so slow that once it stops at 230 it's hard to tell if it's due to limit/capped or just out of power/gear ratio. If I recall correctly it's really up at the end of the favourable rev-spectrum aswell.

I have a 116d and it is limited to 200kph (124mph) and will not go any further, i've tryed lol

My 116d does 206 km/h GPS speed (212 km/h speedo).

Also have "proof"

Our 116i ran out of power at 209 km/h (GPS).

my 125dSA stopped at 249kmh on the counter, 239 on GPS.
It's limited to that speed. I was going downhill and could've gone faster as I was not out of RPMs

Every 116i is limited to ~212 km/h on the speedo.

But 116d is only supposed to do 200 km/h because of that I was a bit surprised that it did a bit more.

That's Tomtom for Android, think it's a good nav app.
