LCI Dashboard trim gap

Hi All,

In my almost brand new F20 LCI 118i (November 2018) I recently spotted what in my view is rather quite a wide gap between the dashboard and the hexagon aluminium trim bezel (see attached pictures). I'm wondering if this is normal deviation and happens in some cars (i.e. rather mediocre build quality) or a defect.

Please tell me what you think.

Looks a little more uneven than mine but i guess with trim it does sometimes have odd gaps. For instance, i thought the middle vent cluster didn't fit properly. The gap under it looks wrong to me but there ya go.
