Curious. To those who spit shade at Lexus, especially an IS how many of you have driven one with F Sport in Sport+ mode? I'm not saying they are better than any other car, but seriously how many of you have driven one?

I actually find that the Lexus IS (specifically the 350, not the 4 cylinder) is a very nice vehicle. Although tight, and a bit dated and slower than its competitors, I found it to handle corners quite well and actually have better steering feel than the F30.

I just wish Lexus cared enough about their RWD cars (IS,GS) to update them. When these cars were new they were great and towards the top of the class, but years later and Lexus doesn't care enough to update them sadly.

I'll agree 100%. I currently own my second IS350 F-Sport. Wanted an RCF but on my budget, I couldn't justify the expense. My only complaints about these cars are the infotainment system is lackluster, they should have been about 1" to 1.5" lower and the cup holders on the 3rd gens are completely in the wrong place. As far as quickness goes, they are a bit slower than their competitors and I don't disagree with this but they seem faster, to the driver (and passengers) than they really are. For a DD to Joe Consumer this is all that really matters. Unless you're tracking it actual times mean nothing to the owner; it's all in perception.

To be honest, for us to debate which luxury sports car is better than another, based off customer loyalty is somewhat comical. At the end of the day, we all win. It's almost like watching a bunch of people on yachts comparing whose yacht is better than the other while everyone around us either can't afford a boat at all or just happy to have their family in a canoe. These types of conversations I can't have with my co-workers or friends, because they don't own or have never driven cars in the categories of what we drive. Most see our cars as something they aspire to have one day, while we all debate about comfort, driving feel, acceleration etc.

That number about to plummet once the C8 becomes readily available.

Not even going to waste my time with the next gen M4 unless they make a miracle happen.

Honestly when I saw spyshots and rumors of the mid engined corvette, I didn't care at all, just saw it as another chevy, as to which I am not a fan of them at all, but after this reveal, I'm sooo tempted to look at a C8 Corvette when my Boxster lease is up, I'm shocked at how much this car has caught my attention, I'm so psyched to test drive one when they come out.

You and me both my brother.

I actually like American cars a lot. I've always been a fan of the Viper ACRs and TAs but I never got a serious push towards getting one until the C8. I'd gladly surrender my current M4CS for a C8 with zero hesitation.

My local dealer is taking deposits. I may or may not have already put a deposit down for one. Imagine what the Z06 is going to be like....

Sticker. Z06 will hopefully drop in a year or two, right?

That's how it was with the C6 and C7 if I can recall correctly. A little over a year.

Someone told me there's rumors of it being just under 800 hp but I have to see it to believe it.

That being said, a C7 Z06 has to be one of the best buys out there right now/near future.

I was gonna ask the same question. IS350 in S+ is a lot fun but my gas mileage is horrible in S+ .

I do wish it had more low end torque and HP like BMW.

Same here! Tire wear is horrible too due to the factory stance. I have found that decreasing tire pressure a little helps even out tread wear. S+ is an absolute blast. The 8 speed transmission just seems to keep on giving when already traveling at high speeds also. It's no BMW but a damn fun car to drive nonetheless.

I should have mentioned this before and just didn't think about it. Due to the collaboration with BMW and Toyota, on the Supra, there are rumors floating around that the new IS350, to be released in 2021, will be powered by a BMW I6 turbo. They plan to release another ISF model the same year. Interesting changes coming from Lexus in the next couple of years.

I like Domestic cars as well. I just don't like owning them. Not sure if I can buy another after my 2012 Mustang GT had more issues in 18 months than all the other cars I've owned over the last 20 years combined. Worst part is that everyone else on the Mustang forums was having all the same issues and parts like lower control arms were on national B/O so I would drive around for 4 months with a new Mustang that creaked so bad in parking lots that it would draw attention. Just not sure I can do that again especially when the depreciation is so steep that when you get a lemon it turns into a full disaster.

The C8 is tempting but I imagine there's going to be plenty of issues in the first few years as early adopters will be paying for the opportunity to R&D for GM.

Agree 150% - my brother in law and sister drink the Lexus Koolaide.

Oh yeah! I forgot my tires were toast at 17K on my IS350.
