I am a 118i 2014 owner and to be very objetive I think they díd a good job with the front (I never minded about the old front as many users here, I really liked the Angry Bird front). Indeed I think good changes on the front were done.
I believe the back was a mistake. It's no longer a BMW it seems more a vw or a Lexus. They completely broke the visual id of this car since 2004. It was unique, now there are a lot of vehicles with L tail lights. Look at the seat Leon, for example. I think this was a huge mistake.

I really feel happy to have my 2014 f21. Not an avoiding changes person, but this time I really think BMW messed it with the back huge.

The best.

I just saw in the german pricelist that ACC with Stop & Go function would not be available on the M135i. That would be quite dissapointing to see that top model would not get the newly available tech. :/

The grey details in the front and on the mirror caps go well with black cars, but it looks a bit strange on blue and orange cars. I do however like the lack of foglights. Too bad you have to buy them on the cheaper models.

Man, why couldn't they have put those tails on the 2-series? Looks way better. Very sleek.

I'm wondering if the LCI is iPhone compatible without upgrading iDrive with the Extended Bluetooth option for playing music from USB or with the use of bluetooth.

I guess I'm in the minority, I'm not digging the massive lights taking half of the backend width. The reflectors on the rear makes it too busy for my taste. Front lights are OK but the current front bumper looks better.

Nice photoshop job Mark.
Sadly the dream will most likely become a nightmare. The 1-series sedan is said to be FWD. It will be the end of the RWD 1-series..

I hear Alfa is going to starting to make a new lineup of RWD cars

Overall, much better.

Surprised BMW didn't continue with the headlight against kidney styling.

Hate those low placed reflectors, but I guess that is new law, since I see every new car has them there.

In the past, they are always integrated into the light units, which is much cleaner.

The rear end of the new 1 series now reminds me of the VW GTi

So weird people in this thread asking for BMW to change the cluster and gauges color to white. Why to do that? All brands have white gauges nowadays. The orange lights are part of the brand DNA. Impossible to give happiness to everyone, right?
To ask that for me is like asking to make a new logo, just because The actual one looks boring.

The best.

No, all those pics are LCI, just with the different options it appears. One has the professional screen with navi, the other is the base screen....

Just wait for the F22/23 LCI. I'm sure they'll get something similar.

I hope this is a 2-series Gran Coupe based on the existing F2x architecture to debut with the F22/23 LCI, and not the FWD sedan based on the next-gen UKL 1-series...

Edit: Guess not.

The projector style LED's looks 100 times better than the reflector style, and more 'premium'.
