Tyres

Hi, my current tyres are Bridgestone Potenza Runflats, Ive decided that when my current tyres need replacing I'm going to replace with non Runflats. The Runflats are wearing well but very crashy and now it's getting colder they tend to want to understeer. And I've been told they are a really hard compound and I'm not likely to get the grip in the winter months.
So basically I've come on here to ask everyone's advice regarding replacement tyres please. My car is a 2015 1series Msport 118i with 225/40/18 front and 245/35/18 rears.
Many thanks in advance.

Tyres

Thanks for that.👍🏻For me personally I can't justify the cost of having 2 sets of tyres when we don't really get a winter as such like we used to years ago. Again thanks for the input it is appreciated, keep the suggestions coming in on tyres.
On one note, I have always had Toyo T1R tyres on previous cars,(Saxo,Astra,Mondeo,Focus) and I've always found them to be a competent all round tyre at a reasonable price, anybody had these on a 1 series? And if so what were they like?
Many thanks

Yes. I like them, they feel better on v cold wet roads and they have certainly worked in the snow. I’ve even passed stranded 4WD on their sports tyres!

I would argue 2 sets of tyres wear out such that each set last longer. They are stored in a local tyre shop and they get swapped in Dec until March.

I can’t say I really need them but I feel it works for me.

Any way MUCH better than the hard wall run flats that bounced and skipped worryingly.
