I love the Hwy 333 Loop. The pic was taken at the entrance of Peggy's Cove. That day, it was a real zoo with dozens of tour buses practically taking over the rear parking lot. Hundreds of gawkers on the roads not paying attention to vehicles. I just parked on the lot at the entrance of the village.

I had Fish & Chips at the Masstown Market on my way back.

But first, I had to feed the bike at the Station across the road.

Texted with him this morning. He's been busy. He said he'll be back when things slow down a bit.

Yeah Peggy's Cove can be a real nightmare to get through sometimes. Luckily I've been there enough times that I can pretty much tell how bad it's going to be just from the traffic on the drive there. If it's too bad I'll just keep going to the Swiss Air Memorial or Indian Harbour. Both are just as picturesque but a lot less crowded... and no lighthouse.
You were on a bike so just do the "hooligan rev-limiter bark" and people will notice you. They may throw their ice cream at you but at least they'll get out of the way.

The drive/ride down route 3 to Bridgewater is a nice trip too, although a few sections of it are a little rough. Of course you should also take a side trip over to Lunenburg. There are lots of pubs and photo ops around the town. You might even get lucky and the Bluenose II will be home.

I've been around Nova Scotia a few times, including Lunenburg at the Old Fish Factory. I also always enjoy Rudder's Brew Pub in Yarmouth. Always on my RTE list.

BTW, did the River Pub in Bridgewater get a new facelift? I looked it up on Google Street ( image from from 2018 ) and it looks different.

Yes the River Pub did get a facelift. It's much more elegant looking now but it's still the same cozy watering hole on the inside. And that's really what counts IMO.

Yup. I won't miss it though. It was docked at one of the narrowest points on the boardwalk and it seemed that every kid that was waiting to go for a ride had a messy, dripping ice cream cone in it's hand and was running around in circles every time I walked by. I hope the new owners have a little more sense in how and where they set up.

Check-out this new place in Spryfield ( Beside the Canadian Tire shop) if you have a chance and let me know what you think.

Took the A-train from Ground Zero to the bus port authority and walked over to Times Square yesterday. Had a BBQ chicken kabob.

Just now picked up some lunch in Northern NJ at Uncle Paulie’s. Had Lomo Saltado, a great Peruvian dish along with Inca Kola, my favorite soda to wash it all down.

They pretty much were. Parked in ChinaTown and did tons of walking all over downtown and every restaurant had their outdoor ‘indoor’ seating full.

I'll see what happens. I don't often get over to that side of the city but I'm always up to try out a new brew-pub.

Spryfield always had the rep as being the "wrong side of the tracks". It's a lot better now but it's hard to shake that kind of stigma.

Clayton Park is actually a pretty good neighbourhood. I can't speak to what it was like in the '70s though, I was living in the New Glasgow area at that time.

Not used to riding on something with a wide foot?

I cant do that with my superbikes but the Guzzi has no issue on unimproved surfaces. For the superbikes I carry something like this but free ones from various lawyers: https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/...sku_id=1034902

I could post some stuff but it wouldnt be current. Im really bad at taking pictures so all Id have were from more organized trips. The ones around GA/SC/TN are common so I dont even think about snaps.

I rode to work today, which means I get to eat. . .

Sun was out, warm, when I left the house at 6:05. About 3 miles away there was a solid grey wall. 5 more miles, with the finger-wipers on, and my pants were wet from the knees down when I got here

Fog doesn't really do that

I always thought these Adidas shoes were pretty good, until they got a bit damp and started sliding off the pegs. Good thing I only had to stop for one light and put my foot down.

A friend of mine and I road our new Honda 160's up California Coast Highway 1 in 1967. It was foggy the whole way. I was wearing street shoes and my feet just about froze. I could barely operate the shifter and brake pedal. We stopped many times to thaw out. Well, sort of thaw out.

We made the return trip down highway 101. By then, the fog had lifted. Our only problem was keeping up with traffic. We hugged the gas tanks and managed to cruise at 65.
