M140i Thread

Hi guys,

Trust you're all doing well!

Considering am currently taking a (almost) new M140i with 17k as my second official bimmer and there's not a lot of discussion about this car around this forum I would like to start a thread where I will give you some insight about my car and what will be happening over time namely with the car itself whether in terms of upgrades or even just a random travels in the neighbourhood.

Will appreciate any of your effort and contribution that include comment and suggestion also to show a little of your M140i if that's the case.

Rock On folks and let's start!

Here's some of the photos I've taken when I visit the official BMW dealer and it made my mind to go for a test drive. We call a Premium Selection vehicle since the car is not new but the only 17k drive on this car was a plus on my decision to move forward.

Next I'll follow up with some of the photos I took during the test drive ...

It's like mine. I have it since december '16 and i'm really, really happy of it. If you're going to buy it, you'll make the right choice!

Thanks V-Eight!

I bought it! It's done the deal Going to pick coming Wednesday since I've asked to get black wheels instead of the ones initially offered.

Do you have some photos of your M140i?

Cheers!

and today when I was driving back home ... there was this queue when a new Mini Cooper stops next to you and gives you a and I felt so cool!

I remember exactly to do the same looking one year back when I was still driving my old bimmer and saw a stunning M135i ... It feels good!

Here's a picture the day (3 days ago) I pick up my car

So yesterday arrived the M-Performance decals I've ordered with eBay - that when compared with an official BMW it's a worth investment taking in consideration how much BMW is asking for the decals / installations and also the side skirts as option.

Well here's the 30 Euros package that took around 2 weeks to arrive and now waits to get mount in the car ... I'm looking now for some installation options ...

Open to any suggestions!

So after having a not very good experience (my own fault) with the side decals montage i've decided to move forward and order something else.

Namely a decent front racing lip splitter from Maxton Design. [FRONT RACING SPLITTER BMW 1 F20/F21 M-POWER (PREFACE)]

How it should like....

I'm hoping to receive this in time so i can join the Dutch Northern Rally duly upgraded. Will keep you guys posted!

Thanks mattmarchy!

Unfortunately the Maxton Design racing splitter I not available for the M140i

So I end up looking for other options ... that are not many tbh

So I decided to look in the back of the car and order the rear diffuser from Maxton ... This fully available for my car.

Ordered and deliver time is 5-6 weeks .... long wait

CENTRAL REAR SPLITTER BMW 1 F20/F21 M-POWER (WITH VERTICAL BARS)

I've chosen the carbon looking + red stripe

Will post some photos from the before + after

Thanks ChristosD!

I've to admit that in the beginning I was a bit doubting on the seats quality since I was coming from a leather experience but nowadays I feel great and used to them. Both summer or winter it feels great.

I'll take some pictures of my interior soon and post here. Just waiting sun to come out and shine!

Here's some more photos of the car in general.

Saw the video. It's a concrete and real 5 door pocket rocket.

Mine is stock, a part the M Perf.rear differential, and on the dyno it has shown nearly 360 HP and 540NM of torque, and it's completely stock as I said.

For me, honestly, it delivers enough power and driving pleasure for an everyday use, but it's loudricous to know that with such a limited investement...you could achieve nearly 470hp and more that 600Nm of torque.

Wonderful engine, in a wonderful car, the last of its species.

Nice, but I imagine the cost to reach that numbers.
I have a VenturaTuning powerbox in my f30 330e and now with 314hp I thought it was amazing, 750€ only, great.
Now can’t wait they upgrade...😂😂
They have one for that engine to 400Hp but no idea about price.
