Well it's Arrived

WOOOOOHOOOOOOO after 2 months of ordering here it is the one and only in all of lebanon, m135i x-drive. Now i havnt driven it for a long time but here are some quick pics def more to come, and a review comparing it to my old car (scirocco abt) by end of the week. To answear a quick question that might be asked, yes album artwork does show on the screen even though its not a nav screen (ill add a pic soon of this).
Dealer told me to drive it atleast 2000km then i can take the rpm over 4000 is that true? Anyway ill stop boring you guys here are some quick pictures:

Garage List
Estoril Blue will look stunning against the Med : ) But in summer I reckon you won't use that sunroof and you'll curse the extra weight! Evenso, congrats.

Yep, it's true. According to BMW instructions, you must not push the engine over 4000 rpm for the first 2000 km but, I guess, it will do no harm if you overdo it once in a while (I know you will!!!)!

Congrats and enjoy!

You don't need nav to get album art. Only enhanced Bluetooth. :-)

Nice car btw

Very nice ride
Take it for a cruise down Hamra street, or along Paris and the coast strip

Congrats! Your going to love it!

About the rpm thing, it depends on how long your going to keep the car. If your going to keep it for 10 years then yeah, stick to the instructions. If your going to get rid of it in under 3 years while its still under warranty, then I don't think it matters. My dealer told me to floor the thing from day one! Lol

Personally I've tried to be moderate with the engine. I've mostly kept it under 4500rpms but once the car is warm, I'll push it over that once in a while. I don't think there is any harm in that.

Mabrouk!! It looks gorgeous mate, really happy for you

Enjoy it to the max and take care with the RPM, I know it's going to take forever to reach 2000km in Lebanon.

Have you given it a name yet?

Bitmanneilak kil kheir inshallah, and take care with her ;-)

Congrats! You've done well to get it in two months as the wait in the rest of the GCC seems to be around 5 months.

BTW - I'm also moving from a 2.0 Tsi Scirocco to an M135i. How does it feel after the Scirocco? I can't wait to go back to RWD. As much as I like the Scirocco, the torque steer and loss of traction at quick getaways on a round about are getting really annoying.

How can you tell when the car is warm there isn't an engine temperature gauge?

I know even the dealer was shocked. He called, me if i recall, march 4 told me they started building it, then on april 16/17 he called to tell me that in 10-12 days time the car will be here and that was it he couldnt believe his eyes how fast bmw delivered the car
Well first thing you do realize between the scirocco vs bmw, is the heaviness of the door. The bmw is as light as it comes, getting in and out is way more comfortable, and well ride wise (only driven in comfort till now) surprisingly it is less harsh than the scirocco. I used to have the rcd510 in the rocco, but here we are talking a better screen all together. I will be writing a better review soon comparing both. Hassan as well is moving from a rocco. May i ask what are the specs? Thanks again everyone.

Indeed I have, seven months and it has arrived as well! I haven't gotten around to posting pictures yet.

It arrived last Tuesday to the dealer and I'm gonna pick it up on Wednesday or Thursday, haven't decided yet because driving here on wednesday night is a death wish for a new car.

Yeah I'm not a big fan of the RCD510 - low resolution, resistive touchscreen technology and slow SD read speeds.

Estoril Blue
Coral Red Leather w/Fineline wood trim finishers
Sport Auto
Adaptive M Suspension
Harmon Kardon
Extended Bluetooth
Comfort Access
Storage Package
PDC (Front + Rear)
Rain Sensors + Auto lights
Xenons
High Beam Assistant
Black Panel Display

As much as I would have liked Pro Nav (for the larger screen rather than the navigation function) and electric seats, the potential price was getting pretty steep by this point (since the dealer won't confirm the final price until it arrives) so I couldn't risk adding more options.
