M135i colour scheme - white with black wheels

Hi

After everyones opinions / views on colour scheme for my M135i.

Ive gone with alpine white but getting the dealer to organise the standard wheels to be made black (same black as other BMW black wheels you get from factory) before delivery. Also getting the mirror caps to be returned back to white.

The style will essentially be white and black, with the standard wheels black, and will add a carbon splitter to the front as well.

Whats ppls views on making the wheels black? or should i keep it all as it comes standard?

Really not sure!!! Can't find many on the net with black wheels which isn't a good sign.

James

Congrats on the m135i decision! Good choice!

All sounds good but why would you change the mirrors to white? The whole point is to differentiate it from the standard f20s. At least make it gloss black or something.

The black rims would look cool though.

Yeah get you on the mirror caps. Black perhaps. I thought to go white so the mirrors are black and white to match the black/white theme.

My winter wheels are black. It's a 125d, not an M135i but hey, they look more or less the same.

You should be glad you can't find many in the colour scheme your fancying tbh. The one downfall with the M135i is that you can't really put your stamp on it without spending excessive sums of money by adding M Performance Parts.

The colours you can pick from are a bit limited and the fact its been given its own 'special' alloys means that say Dave from 4 streets away buys one in Alpine white as well your gonna look as though you've got the same car.

After much thinking, I'm going AW with 'BMW Black' wheels and matching mirror caps. Thanks Kab999.

Nothing wrong with that combo, James. But bear in mind the standard wheels that come with the M135i are quite dark (certainly NOT black, though). They were darker than I thought (and I like them) and certainly look darker against AW than against EB, for example.

You're going to hate me for saying this

but each time I see a car with all black wheels I always looks for the bricks under the axles.

Count my vote against black wheels. I prefer contrast between the tires and rims, or else they look to much like winter steel rims.

However, black wheels with an outer contrast edge (chrome or white or something) is just fine.
