Hi,

Well, this is just to give you a feedback after 10.000 kms with my 125i F20. This is my first BMW car. Before i have had only japanese cars (Mazda and Toyota).

Ordered March 03rd 2012 in France
Production date: March 31st (Regensburg plant)
Delivered to me on april 25th 2012 at the BMW welt in Munich (what an experience !!)
Price 35.000 euros including VAT
extra taxes 1200 euros (because France is THE diesel country!)

Main options:
S235A - S249A - S2VLA - S3AGA - S430A - S508A - S534A - S5ADA - S609A - S616A - S6NLA - S6WAA - S8THA - Mineral Grey - Manual transmission

(No M pack)

Unlike my previous car, I ordered this one being not convinced by the external design. Almost nine months later I would say that it is not so bad , finding it better every day.

My general feeling is that this car is very reliable. I have had absolutely no issues. Like for everybody, there is some rust on the front seat frames and only there.

The assembly quality is a reality and I have no vibration or ratteling noise. One can feel this quality even on the smallest and less significant component.

The N20B20 engine is fantastic. It gives the car excellent acceleration capabilities. I have been back to Germany on last september and found that reaching 200 km/h was something very very easy with this car .

I mainly use it for everyday home to work with an average speed of about 30 km/h. The real fuel consumption is about 9.5 l/100 kms. This is an average for 10.000 kms so it can be considered as representative.

I appreciate this car everyday more which is exactely the opposite feeling that I had with my previous cars, i.e. very excited at the begining and a decreasing interest over the time.

One has to be aware that the BMW RTTI (real time traffic info) is really not working as expected, here in France. It indicates a traffic jam when it is too late i.e. when you are already there. Why the hell don't BMW use the free and very well performing Google tools. It is the only negative thing that I would like to express.

Best regards

It's the same for me. I must admit I was a bit underwhelmed in the beginning, but the more I drive it the more I love it.

HI!
Sorry for the thread revival, but I'm about to buy a BMW 125i (F20) 2013 (I guess it's build on 2012, but not sure), and I wanted to know, several years and kms later, how was the car overall?

I've been reading a lot about the N20B20 engine issues (timming chain and oil pump), and I'm really worried, but all the problems reviews where mostly with 20i and 18i, but I don't know if its because there are fewer 125i or because it didn't have problems.

Thanks in advance!!
