Video: BMW M135i. A closer look.
BIMMERPOST NEWS Video: BMW M135i. A closer look. Here's a video summarizing the M135i hatchback [official thread] [reviews]. Although the M135i will not be available in the North American market, it's recently been rumored that a M235i coupe (2 Series coupe version of the M135i) will be the first M Performance Automobile to be introduced to the US market. Keep in mind that a M235i coupe model will not be a replacement for an expected future M2 coupe model - the successor to the E82 1M Coupe. Instead, it's a model which can be viewed as the successor to the current 135is coupe, to slot in between the standard 235i coupe and the M2. The M135i specs and highlights are as follows:

BMW is crazy to not sell this [f20/21] car to the US. AND not selling to Canada just puts the cherry on top. FOOLISH !!!
The M235i is surely to be a nice ride, it is the looks that are a concern for most. Lets hope to God they do not screw it up. The 2013 135is is lacking the M spec goods the M135i has, and that's BMW's HUGE let down to NA. |

Not in US? Not a big deal.
This is basically a US 135i with all the performance parts as far as I can tell. In Europe for example, the M package on a 135i would still have fog lights, but in the US it doesn't (like the M135i).
It's like when the "exclusively" sold the 335is in the US, but basically it was a fully BMW Performance parts equipped 335i. So no worries. Just get a 135i with all performance parts and you will still be happy... |

I love BMW's but I dont understand why anyone would want this car. Its the ugliest thing ive seen on the road. In AUS starting price on road is north of $70k!!! Lets hope the 2 series coupe is much more attractive.

Cool car for sure. But I don't care to see the M badge being placed on a car thats not really a M. "M Performance"?
Kinda of a sad day for those lucky enough to own a real M car.

"First ever BMW M Performance automobile to feature a petrol engine"
Serious question, because I don't know. What other M Performance automobiles were produced before the M135i, and what type of engines did they use? Diesel?

I was hoping to hear some lovely engine and exhaust noises but I had to mute the volume because of that dull, emotionless voice!!
