Wasn't me, too sad
I were primary interested into the Winchester, all others are already done.

I like STI 2011s, I'm just not sure I'd choose the TTI version. It wouldn't be bad without the rose barrel color and printing on the slide. I'd probably just get a "regular" STI 2011.

I like multicolored guns, at least they should not fear any opponents but serve you well - in what color ever.

The Canadian Government may be coming for our guns.

Apparently Billy Blair the Minister of Border Security and Organized Crime Reduction for Canada was on the Evan Solomon show this weekend talking about his recent consultations with Canadians about gun control. Surveys were taken and the results were that 81% didn’t want more gun control. So since there isn’t time to bring forward legislation the government is considering an order in council which only requires 4 MP's to sign off on a bill to ban AR15’s and possibly handguns. Very democratic don’t you think. According to the RCMP there’s between 68000 and 90000 AR’s worth on average $1600 each. They’ll have to buy them all back. That’s a lot of money to accomplish nothing. Not to mention the more than 1 million handguns that will have to be taken through a buy back program.

Going to try and get to the range one day this weekend. Want to run a hundred or so rounds through my newish Colt Series 70 1911A1. I’ll take one of my M1 carbines to complete my personal WWII Memorial tribute.

Other countries like mine have very strict gun laws and we're surviving since WWII w/o guns, except for law enforcement, hunters, sportsmen and licensed private persons. So what?

How does this differ from my country? Who are licensed private persons?

It’s all well and fine until ‘they’ come kicking your door in for whatever sick they reason they might have. Your country has a well know history of such events and a head scratcher you can make your statement followed with, so what. Amazing.
Since WWII doesn’t mean all’s well forever it has happened elsewhere since then.

Go talk to Cambodians for example. It’s an oft recurring theme throughout history. You can live in denial many of us will not.

Just got back from the range. The M1A with its new unitized gas system is really shooting nice. Had some 5 shot groups that were 1.5-2”. Best was a 1.25” group Very pleased. Too bad it really prefers the expensive Federal GMM 168’s. Mil Surplus shoots 3”-5”.

Brought my Saginaw M1 carbine and ran about 100 rds. All was well till the last magazine as emptied. I turned the weapon to hit the mag release button and the rear sight fell off. It had been staked on since right after the WWII refit and today after 70+ years it decided it was escape attempt day. Luckily I saw it fall and in the pocket it went. This week I’ll stake it back where it belongs.

Nice shoot on a beautiful day. Thought about going to go to the Jones Beach Airshow this weekend but it the USAF Thunderbirds but we prefer the USN Angels so we’ll go next year.

Give some thought for our Veterans wounded or KIA this Memorial Day weekend for what they have sacrificed for all of us.

Like individual personal security, persons of special interest, e.g.

You know what, meanwhile we aren't allowed just to carry foldable sticks or just hand knuckles into our cars. They're treated like weapons and if you got caught with them...well, good luck.
I understand your argument to protect your home against burglars and in times where a human live wouldn't matter even for a fistful cents...
But this discussion would go too far at the end and won't legalize guns into your private hands. If everybodys' be able to carry and use one, thats anarchy.
What do you mean with a well known history? We had the RAF into the 70ths and a few weirdos until now but I wouldn't rate this as representative for my whole country.
I agree to your statement about WWII, that was just my point of history turn to a more peaceful time. Ok, thats also obsolete today but was a milestone after years of war violence and human cruelty against each other.
