Watched the reboot of Pet Semetary too. Definitely thought it was better than the initial release. While the 2019 version took a few liberties with the storyline, thought it turned out well.

It held true to the original with the exception of the wifes storyline.

Pretty good overall.

Also watched Polaroid (horror). Meh.

What did you think of The Prodigy?

We went to the theater to watch it and I downloaded it this weekend to add to my collection.

Detective Pikachu. A very easy going movie that was a very good movie for just plain entertainment. Don't need to think too much, just sit back and relax. Would probably give 6,5/10

Saw John Wick 3 over the weekend. I don't think it was the best in the series but definitely enjoyed it.

Beginning and end were great, thought it kind of dragged in the middle a bit.

The first kill of the movie was the best one imo

Aladdin (2019) - 9/10

Enjoyable, fun and entertaining throughout with some great songs, great special effects, good acting and a classic story which moves at the right pace.

Although it’s pretty much a blow by blow remake of the original, there are some new songs and modern additions which work well and although it all ends a bit too neatly, it is a superb production.

I'm just not getting into these live action remakes of Disney classics. Ugh. I can't decide which is worse, remakes or half ass "Part 2"s...oh well.

Saw Alladin last night. Thought it was good. Still on the fence about the new songs.

Sorry for the late response. I still haven't watched it yet.

But it seems like you enjoyed it? I will watch it some time this extended weekend.

So The Prodigy was pretty entertaining. I did not care for the ending however.

Another Netflix original that is very entertaining and almost Stranger Things like: Rim of The World!

John Wick 3 did not disappoint. Tough to top the first 2, but in comparison this one was on par with the others. Lots of action and fights. Some a bit over the top but hey that was to be expected.

I must say the level of fight choreography is impressive. And to think Keanu and Hali did most all of it is even more impressive. Bring on JW4!

Watched 2 new movies this weekend: John Wick 3 and Aladdin. John Wick was very enjoyable as always. It’s action comedy and the fight scenes were awesome to watch. Looking forward to te 4th installment.

Aladdin was surprisingly enjoyable and well made. From the first song “Arabian Nights” it gave me goosebumps as Aladdin, Lion King, and Toy Story were my favorite animated movies as a kid. The live action Aladdin took me back and I enjoyed every single minute of it (even held in my pee during the 2h9m so I don’t miss a second). Can’t wait for all the other Disney movies coming out this year!
