I was thinking in the taco but if you have a means to make taco shell from the roaches that would be worth knowing.

Just bumping this thread to say that I've put on hold the idea of rearing roaches for meat. But only because I developed an allergy to my dear roaches and had to get rid of em.

In some ways, the meat would not be much different than shellfish like crabs, shrimp and lobsters. They are related and should taste similarly. We already eat lobsters, why not cockroaches?
... there's just something about the name.

Lobster is also known as the "cockroach of the sea".

yeah shrimps and lobsters are close relatives to insects anyway so i could care less. there are already insect parts in fruits and veggies we eat everyday. red skittle shells used bug stuff to make the red color before 2009 according to google.

could care less what i eat as long as its healthy and tastes good.

Well... this is from 2 years ago so anyone having roasted roach for dinner yet?

I pretty sure they have been pushing for this insect protein for a while, but the ones I've read about were smart and went with crickets instead of roaches. Mainly ground up into powder to make other stuff with. Much more appetizing...

As for roach milk... its probably more milk than soy or almond juic.... milk.
