So true. I was thinking the very same thing. Better call the wha-wha-whambulance!
Oh, and the M135i looks bloody amazing.

Looks good but that diffusion is a bit too big. I bet it looks alot better in person however it's got nothing on the 1M.

It looks alright. The front and side profile are passable.

The rear tailights are absolutely ugly though.

Wow I think this looks great!!! Love the lines, rear fender flares could be more aggressive though.
Disclaimer: I own a Z3 M Coupe so I am biased.
Haters of this car would hate the M Coupe too.

Also, the front-end of these things are seriously ugly, those headlights.... w.t.f.
If you are worried about the badge, then you are buying an M car for the wrong reason. Just because there are going to be M Performance models doesn't mean the true M cars will be any lesser of a driver's car.

BMW design is already going downhill fast.....and this M135i is conclusive evidence. This is by far THE worst looking BMW i've seen in a long time......in fact, i think this is one of the ugliest looking hatchbacks i've seen by any brand in a while.....

What scientific method do you use to derive this conclusive evidence?

I honestly couldn’t care less if you like it or not. I’m delighted with my purchase and I love the look of the car.

The reality is that any new product, service, artist or whatever will get attacked by ignoramuses who do not understand or like it. That’s fine; you’re more than entitled to your opinion.

It just annoys me that people who have never seen one in real life, and don’t even have the opportunity to buy one, think they are contributing to the F20 community by coming on and bleating on about how it looks.

Find a new hobby horse.

/Rant

you know next time i will.. maybe it will hit me and fix its ugly face..

the headlights are to big, the hood is bloated, the hood line should have been between the grills and headlights, the grills are small compared to the headlights, the (lets say) forehead (place around the headlines and grills) is too flat and big compared to the bottom front..

anw, this is not an assault to you, you like it its up to you.. its an assault to the bmw designers because this in an insult to the vast majority of bmw owners and enthusiasts..

It looks even worse in m-tech form.

Embarrassing!

Not only the ugliest bmw ever. One of the ugliest cars produced, for any brand.

I would rather walk.

You know i was only joking, I do not want you to get run over by a BMW.

That might damage the bonnet, and Audi though.....

You know, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I used to have a 135 and while I wasn't in love with the appearance, I was in love with the engine and power. In particular I wasn't too fond of the headlights.

I would be interested in the new 1er, and I think my opinion counts for something, as this is my market segment. However, I will not be looking at it anymore, if the coupe will have the headlights of the hatch, which judging by the previous coupe/hatch, it will.

Now to express my opinion, I think the headlights are ugly, and that is the single thing I don't like about the new 1er. I'm not commenting on the back, simply because I won't have to deal with that ugliness across the pond

You're absolutely correct, everyone's opinion is valid. I did say that a few posts back.

What we in the F20 community are getting sick of though is that anything posted on the main page about the 1er seems to be a signal to all the boards haters to come on and have a go a the car.

Now there are reasonable, balanced opinions such as yours, which create conversation and a good honest debate, and then there is just open hating, which is what i'm talking about.

If the car really offends some people that much, then they dont have to look at the pictures of it online, let alone comment on them within a community of owners.

I hate Ssangyong Rodius. Check it out if you don't know how miserable that car is!
However I would not even think about interfering in the Rodius enthusists forum (If something like that exists), telling them how stupid their car is. Especially not in thread after thread, repeating the same message

How many times do you need to see a car before you make a decision if you like it or not?

The fact that you keep arguing that you need to spend who knows how much time around it in order to like it seems completely ridiculous to me. I've never understood the concept of "learn to like it". You either like it or not. Period.
