M135i LED Headlights

Hi all

Just putting this out there. Below are a few pics of the projectors in my headlights. They appear to be covered in white smear marks.

Currently the car is at the dealers and a case raised at BMW - my initial complaint being that its difficult to see at night on dipped beam. The dealer says they have never seen such an occurrence before.

Has anyone else experienced this or can suggest what it is?

What do you mean that it's difficult to see? As in its blurry? I do find our LED light not as good as previous BMWs on xenons. Whiter but not brighter!

Yes, I found it very difficult to see with just dipped beams on.

I thought they were not aligned correctly, however, they were and now we are where we are with this white mess on the projector.

It appears that the parts manufacturer has not removed the protective film when assembling the lens array

as an update

Dealer raised a case with BMW, who have agreed to replace the lights under warranty and have asked for my ones to be shipped back to Germany for inspection.

That is a good suggestion, it could be a protective film left in place.

I figured it could be some sort of polish or cleaner residue from when they say clean the projector after assembly??
