Thats decent, thought they would be at least 10mpg difference between the 116i and 118d.

Petrol or Diesel, can't decide!

Test drive both, you may find that you prefer the petrol and as cheaper to purchase then it's a win win. If find you prefer the diesel it will still cost the same over the 4 year period, so just decide whether can afford/ justify the cost upfront.

i'm also impressed with the 116i's 0-60. its only .3 seconds slower than my 320D, which is 163bhp, compared the the 116i's 135bhp.

Yeah they will both work out roughly the same over 4 years but the diesel will hold a higher residual value, something I wont get with the petrol.

Its a tough one!
