I took delivery of my car (mineral grau) yesterday at the Bmw welt in munich. What an experience ! What an engine ! What a car ! I will post some photos ASAP.

I will post pics next sunday. I am still enjoying the region of Munich. My new car is a MT one. I took the autobahn yesterday for a 160 kms trip. At 140 km/h, the car is very silent. It seems to be in idle. The engine rotation speed is then just about 3000 rpm. This is very low. Average fuel consumption was about 7.8 l/100kms!
I have also taken the pro nav system. What a pleasure to use.

How much extra for having the car delivered at BMW Welt...?

It costs about 200 euros. This includes a visit of Munich plant. It was really Fantastic. Duration was almost 3hours, done by an engineer (a woman). We were very close to the production lines but it was strictly forbidden to take any photo or video. We have been able to see the F30 and E91 lines, i.e. from the steel rolls to the assembled cars. We were also able to see the Petrol Engines assembly lines V12 for the RR phantom, the V8 and their last baby, the N20B20. All the petrol engines are manufactured in Munich.
We have also received a 75 euros value to be used in one of the three restaurants. The meal was great. I got also some souvenirs.

For the delivery itself, my new car has been presented to me during one hour by a very kind woman. I really have to say that she was really knowing every detail of the car.

All the necessary documents were ready on time. Owner's documents, a 175 euros value insurance for 14 days (included in the 200 euros!).

Well, that is Germany, everything goes almost perfectly there...In France, my dealer was not able to explain me exactly how the process will be.

It's available for us buying through BMW Spain. Don't know the extra cost, though...

I never asked my dealer because I wasn't able to do it for personal reasons- but I thought it was an option??

These 2 options (Premium: 200€ and Premium plus: 400€) are possible for order completed in Canada/USA, Spain, Italy and France. It is amazing that it is not possible for all euro zone countries !

Here are some photos. On the first one, I was able to see the car (down, on the right side) from the premium lounge, 30 minutes before the delivery. The weather is not good at all in the nearby of Paris.

The last photo was taken from a walkpath close to the Spitzensee, 60kms south east of Munich. There is still much snow but the external temp was about 25 °C !

By the way, I have a question. When accelerating (moderatly), switching from the confort mode to sport one gives an impressive boost. From where is it comming ? I have a MT which means that this is not coming from a gear shift.
