These calculators are not too trustworthy, as these cars with the sports tranny have way less power loss to the wheels than other cars. I can assure you it is flywheel power. Also, the way a car delivers kw and torque over the rev range will determine 0-100 times etc. My car hangs on to the power way longer than a stock car, so the calculator is just a guided figure at most.

I see you are in CPT. Come to the Cape STowners Dyno Day on Saturday. Starts at 08:15 and I will show you my power on the Dyno and take you for a spin so you can feel how the car delivers the power.

I have not measured on the wheels, as our dyno only does flywheel, but an average would be to take this power and divide it by 1.18.

18% loss to wheels is about right.

Sounds a bit high for your level of power.

On our 116i, we actually gained some power from the flywheel to the rear hubs, as we measured 139 hk (supposed to be 136 at flywheel) in stock form! :-)

Map 7 is 23psi. I only run this map for dyno days and the strip. Normally run Map 1 at 20psi with pump fuel.

Apologies for the hijack, but can you upgrade a 118d the same way, under warranty etc?
The same engine seems to go from 116hp to 184hp so has to be a map/ecu thing.

Cheers

Yeah, I'll second that. Where do you buy it a JB4 Stage 2 for an N20 engine? And, how did you fit it and get it to work? From the BMS webpage as far as I can make out the JB4 Stage 2 is only for N55 motors. My 125i is still on its way to me, but unless I'm completely mistaken we have the N20 engine in our cars...?? Here's the BMS webpage and a listing of the available tunes...

[QUOTE=rpagianotto;14126655]Any news on a possible upgrade for the 118i or the 116i as

I installed couple of days ago Hartge engine upgrade for F20 116i and I can say the car is pretty quick right now. It pulls really nicely especially above 60kmh.

You can go to this link for stage 2 - http://www.burgertuning.com/N55_Stage2_Jb4.html

Just select N20 from drop down list.... Remember your flex fuel wires as well

or chat to Terry at BMS - terry@burgertuning.com

Both Hartge and AC Schnitzer does not have tuning kit for F20 125i (N20). However they do have for F30 328i (N20).
Does it mean I can buy the one for 328i and fit it on 125i?

So what kind of power figures are you getting on Map 1? I'd be running a map just for daily driven street use with Shell 98RON V-Power.

Hey bud, I am also looking to tune my 125 but will probably go for Stage 1 first. You have an idea of what kind of power to expect from it?

Well I've just ordered the JB4 Stage 2 with USB combo & flex fuel wires. May as well give it a go for that price. Certainly cheaper than trying to get horsepower out of an E46 M3...!
