Seeing the last photos and clips I'm almost sure now I'll like it in the metal. There are some details I really like.

I can't recall many BMW designs in the last decade that were not questionable. The designs always grown on people, which makes me wonder why people are not more open minded in their initial responses.

Very bad!!!
I don't know.... I really don't like the direction of the design of these new bmw..... I didn't like the new 6 series and now I don't like this one.....
I read some people write about the beauty of the 1 series M..... I want to remember that sadly that was the 1 series that Bangle designed.....that says a lot......
Bring Bangle back!!!!!

Wink Why the jump to conclusion? Wait to see it in person.

Guys: Like the 90% who voted so far on this forum, I don't fell for the front end look by the photos & videos either. However, the "shark looks", like F01 7-ers & F10 5-ers, are awful on papers but are much better when seen in flesh. So why the jump to conclusion? Wait to see it in person.

I much prefer the current look hey. These kinda look like bigger prev-gen Audi A4 (RS4 shape) tailights on the front

It's not even so much the ugly looks as the direction they have taken with the drive-train and marketing.

I think the f10 is one of the most beautiful vehicles money can buy, bar-none. I love the post-refresh e90s, and I preferred the pre-refresh e92s. The new X3 is definitely an improvement over the previous generation, and the X1 isn't the worst-looking in its class either, actually pretty good IMO. Truthfully, I've never really liked the rear of the current e82 much; too much Bangle in it for my tastes. Otherwise, I thought it was a good car. Now, with these photos, I just have to hope that BMW will send over a better-looking coupe to the US. Maybe they'll use the 2-Series nameplate, and that can be their excuse to change it up a bit. That's my hope. I also sincerely hope that NONE of the design language of this vehicle go into the 2012 3-Series. If that happens, I will have lost all faith in this company, which I have come to love so much. Please, BMW, fix this car before sending it over here, and don't let this be any indication of the future 3-Series. For your own good, DO NOT build the 3 similarly in any way to the next 1. Especially the nose. Those slumpy, fat-roll-looking things on the front end near the grill definitely need to go.

Thanks.

I totally, totally, totally agree with you in everything, I'll even add that the 5 GT is not bad, a nonsense car but not that ugly, but this next gen 1

That's really good. I think the main thing that has been putting everyone off is not so much the headlights, but the shadow you can see on the lower half of the kidneys.
Your design has only very minor alterations to the lights, the biggest difference is that you have omitted the shadow on the kidneys.
